New music from latest EP "Quiet Drama"
Released August 2021
"Quiet Drama is the latest album by Sarah Carrino. This album represents a strong follow up to her last recordings on the “Old Maid” LP. Sarah’s voice has never sounded stronger, and you can tell she is hitting her stride as she belts out catchy and meaningful lyrics. Her vocals and musical arrangements are noticeably richer and more complex on this Sophomore recording. The progression of songs keep the listener engaged and brings to bear the full range of emotions. This is intelligently achieved through a wonderful blending of silky smooth harmonies, intermingling of familiar plucky banjo and Honky Tonk fiddle and guitar. I can not recommend this album strongly enough. If you are looking to take a delightful musical journey, get your copy of "Quiet Drama", it drops on August 27th. As an appetizer you can download her single, “Sinner’s Blues” right now."
~ Denton Dallas and Beyond
“Living in Denton, we have a glut of independently produced music released nearly every week. With the prolific nature of the area’s song writers, it is often hard to separate the sonic wheat from the chaff. Fortunately, in February of 2019 a standout emerged. Sarah Carrino’s freshman album, Old Maid dropped with a force that demanded attention. This Denton musician by way of St. Louis, has definitely brought the soulful spirit of the mighty Mississippi to bear on this record .”
An attraction to gritty powerful vocals of early female blues and jazz artists as well as a blatant captivation with old time roots and bluegrass melodies underscore the influence and styling conveyed through this music. Passionate vocals and honest lyrics offer listeners with a raw and uninhibited glimpse into intimate experiences and feelings
An attraction to gritty powerful vocals of early female blues and jazz artists as well as a blatant captivation with old time roots and bluegrass melodies underscore the influence and styling conveyed through this music. Passionate vocals and honest lyrics offer listeners with a raw and uninhibited glimpse into intimate experiences and feelings that are stitched loosely around a candid imagination.
